| Bio: | "i said maybe, you're going to be the one who saves me" me rehuso a fallar..... Since so many people are asking about how Pam and I met, we decided to share the story. Pam and I are both writers and were before we met. It is fate that the two of us happened to both be in the same poetry place and enjoyed each others words and work. With time we began to email each other and talk about things other than poetry. We became email friends. Soon we began writing each other on a daily basis talking about our lives and about ourselves as well. Soon we realized that we were very good friends. It was at that time that we decided to send each other something special in the mail. We grew closer and closer, talking more and more and sending each other things. And then on march 17 2003, we decided to take the biggest step of our relationship and say those three little words which we were both eager to say and hear. Those words of course were "i love you". It was after that, that we grew closer and closer, remembering each month we were together and those special days were marked and celebrated (birthdays, christmas, our anniversary). It was when we started doing things not only for each other, but for each other's families, that we knew that we were meant to be together. As the days passed and we grew closer and closer, our love grew deeper and deeper for each other and we began to show it more and more. The high point came when we were able to make christmas special for our two families. It was then that they knew that we had found our soulmate. The next step was planning a trip to visit one another. Pam took the first step and came to visit me and my family and my city on march 24th 2005. After meeting me in person and my family and my world, we decided that since she came to visit me for easter, that i would visit her and her family and her world this coming christmas. March 30, 2005 I proposed to Pam: "I wanted to tell you this as i kneeled on the floor: Pamela, i would love it if you would accept this ring as a token of my love for you and as a sign of my devotion and promise to love you (and the boys) for the remainder of our days. With this ring i want you and i to be bound together in love under the eyes of the world and His eyes as well. That is the reason why i give you this ring (the gold ring that belonged to my great grandfather) and why i proposed here (on the streets of old milwaukee exhibit at the museum) because i wanted to give you not just my present and my future but my past as well (which is all that led up to me being here). Having you accept my ring made me the happiest man in the world December 9th 2005 changed my life and i am forever grateful to the woman who saved me and gave me a second chance at living. *** What i love best about being with pam and being so close to getting married, is how we make decisions together as a couple; we are always talking and thinking and planning, and deciding what is best for us as a whole. No one person controls, no one person dominates, love isnt that way, its a sharing of all things. And no one has the right to say otherwise or to stick their nose into a love as beautiful and special and rare as ours. If the rest of the world cannot fathom how deep and special and unique our love is, that is the problem of the world and not ours. | |
